For over 25 years, documentary filmmaker Ken Burns has chronicled pivotal episodes of American history and aspects of American culture and his latest effort is no exception. Burns' newest seven-part PBS series, "The War," depicts the American experience in World War II from the unique perspective of four U.S. towns. Ken Burns spoke about the making of this documentary in a September 19 speech at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.
