As we head into the final weeks of the election, the struggle for the control of Congress is intensifying. National Democratic and Republican congressional groups are funneling support to the candidates they think may determine the balance of power in the U.S. House. Two of the congressmen leading that effort, Tom Reynolds, R-N.Y., and Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., discussed their strategies Oct. 18 at the National Press Club in Washington. Reynolds is the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, and Van Hollen is the co-chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's "Red to Blue" initiative.
