With the U.S. Supreme Court considering what school districts can and can't do to increase the diversity of their schools, Word for Word has a speech from longtime education reformer Jonathan Kozol. His latest book — "The Shame of the Nation: The Restoration of Apartheid Schooling in America" — explores the financial and curriculum disparities between predominantly white schools and predominately non-white schools. Kozol spoke at Carleton College May 5, 2006.
