President Bush has laid out his new strategy of sending more U.S. troops to Iraq but comparisons have already been made to an old war — the one in Vietnam. In a New York Times-sponsored forum on Jan. 6, seasoned war reporters David Halberstam, Bernard Trainor and Dexter Filkins discussed the similarities and the differences between Iraq and Vietnam and the lessons to be learned from both wars.
