A New Look at an Old Theory

P.J. O'Rourke
February 16, 2007
In 1776, Adam Smith devised the fundamentals of economics that hold to this day. Now political satirist, journalist and writer P.J. O'Rourke is out with his own take on Smith's work, called "On The Wealth of Nations." O'Rourke says Smith indeed wrote a book that changed the world, but maybe a bit too slowly. P.J. O'Rourke reflected on Smith's theories in a Feb. 8 Commonwealth Club of California speech.
