  The difference between great doctors and average ones
Dr. Atul Gawande says for all the promise of cutting-edge medical research, the best way to improve health care is for doctors to do a better job applying the treatments already out there. Gawande is a surgeon, author, Harvard Medical School professor and staff writer for "The New Yorker" magazine. He discussed his new book -- "Better: A Surgeon's Notes on Performance" -- in an April 13 speech in Minneapolis. |
